I’ve been listening to a lot of Tibetan singing bowl music lately as the vibrations have a strong resonance, so much so that I was drawn to get a small sized singing bowl to play myself. If I were to look at this on a purely physical level, my experience of Tibetan singing bowls was passive (appreciating the sounds) rather than participatory. However, that is far from the truth. As I unpacked the bowl from its box, my heart chakra was breaking out into its own vibratory sounds of gratitude. The instrument came with no instructions, however in the moment I knew exactly how to move the mallet around the bowl, and that’s because I have been playing that sacred tool for as long as my higher mind can recall. As spiritual beings, our awareness and knowledge of everything transcends that which we perceive to know on the physical, and that is because we understand that everything is spiritual. When we accept that everything is spiritual and that everything has a spiritual base, then this is when we can fully open ourselves up to our own abilities and capabilities – free of the limitations that a purely physical focus feeds – and live the lives of spiritual beings on a physical plane of existence to its fullest.
