Tune of the Day for Tuesday 21 July 2020: Unity (Pt.1 – The Third Coming) by Afrika Bambaataa & James Brown

Afrika Bambaataa and James Brown’s Unity (Pt.1 – The Third Coming) is as much a reminder today about unity within us as it is about unity in the world around us. Many of us desire unity throughout the world, but in order for that to happen, we must first and foremost “walk our talk”. In other words, we must embrace who we are – higher mind, body and soul – as a whole completely and totally, and without trying to mentally separate any part of that trio. Interestingly Afrika Bambaataa and James Brown’s Unity (Pt1. – The Third Coming), which is one song in a six-part series, was written and released in 1984 and little has changed since. We are a microcosm of the macrocosm and so if you look at the world around you and can see a disconnect, spend some time going inwards and ask your inner being what you need to do to create unity within yourself.

Tune of the Day is a new divinatory series here on my blog where I share some musical vibes. Music is a very powerful tool with numerous messages to be gleaned from a tune, whether it’s got vocals on it or it’s purely instrumentals. It also has massive healing benefits too.

Whether you have an ear for music or are simply looking for divination of a different medium altogether, music most certainly moves us and offers guidance. And just like with tarot and any other form of divination, music will have different meanings to different readers or in this case listeners. With each Tune of the Day I provide a general overview of some of the messages I’ve got from the track, but of course you may listen to it and get different signs or symbols. Enjoy!
