Tune of the Day for Sunday 15 March 2020: Rearrange by Prince

Habits and patterns make people’s lives predictable, make them subject to endless mindless actions and behaviours, and gives chaos free reign to meddle in their lives at every given opportunity. Being unpredictable, on the other hand, contrary to “beliefs” doesn’t make a person “unreliable” or “crazy”, but it opens the person to being guided in every moment of their life by their intuition or higher self. Truthfully, being unpredictable is at the essence of mindfulness and mindful living. Prince’s Rearrange is a message today to let go of the mindset and behaviours that make you predictable. As so eloquently and lovingly put as ever by Prince: “Rearrange your mind, Man, you’ve got to be drunk! You think we’d stoop so low and play that old-time funk? Rearrange your mind, Loosen up your hair! You gotta do things in a different way, If you wanna get anywhere (Dig it!)…Rearrange your brain, Dial a brand new number, Just can’t stay the same, Ain’t nothing funky ’bout a waltz or rumba, Rearrange your brain, Got to free your mind! Your hair, your clothes, your body, your soul, Won’t be far behind! (Sing it!)”. Change your mindset, change your life!

Tune of the Day is a new divinatory series here on my blog where I hare some musical vibes. Music , is a very powerful tool with numerous messages to be gleaned from a tune, whether it’s got vocals on it or it’s purely instrumentals. It also has massive healing benefits too.

Whether you have an ear for music or are simply looking for divination of a different medium altogether, music most certainly moves us and offers guidance. And just like with tarot, music will have different meanings to different readers or in this case listeners. With each Tune of the Day I provide a general overview of some of the messages I’ve got from the track, but of course you may listen to it and get different signs or symbols. Enjoy!
