Guru and Mc Solaar‘s Le Bien, Le Mal (The Good, The Bad) was released in 1993 and yet the lyrics are so pertinent to what’s going on today. What does that tell us? That’s there’s been little to no change? As the pair rap: “A Paris en France comme dans la Rome antique (In Paris in France as in ancient Rome), Imite le maître, malgré le mythe comme Spartacus…limitait le mec (Imitate the master, despite the myth like Spartacus …limited the guy), Qui millimètre après millimètre check l’intellect à des kilometres (Who millimetre after millimetre checks the intellect for miles). Hey yo, it’s time to get up, Time to change the world for some better, cos I’m fed up, We’re gonna expose the wrong that’s been going on, Crazy madness, it’s all I see out my window, It doesn’t matter who’s the president, yo.” Change is required on this planet now and it starts with you!
Tune of the Day is a new divinatory series here on my blog where I hare some musical vibes. Music , is a very powerful tool with numerous messages to be gleaned from a tune, whether it’s got vocals on it or it’s purely instrumentals. It also has massive healing benefits too.
Whether you have an ear for music or are simply looking for divination of a different medium altogether, music most certainly moves us and offers guidance. And just like with tarot, music will have different meanings to different readers or in this case listeners. With each Tune of the Day I provide a general overview of some of the messages I’ve got from the track, but of course you may listen to it and get different signs or symbols. Enjoy!
