Tune of the Day for Sunday 23 February 2020: Swamp Thing by Hiatus Kaiyote

Hiatus Kaiyote’s Swamp Thing today is a message to dig deep and take a look at what critters you got hiding by way of your beliefs. Just as you are a living and breathing energetic being, the thoughts and beliefs that you have are energy too, sentient beings in fact powered by your energy. Swamp Thing urges you today to become aware of that which has been generated using your energy that you are not yet aware of, since it is those “swamp things”, “bogeymen” whatever you want to call it that gets in the way of you living your truth and being your true self. Sure, the critters ain’t pretty, but an awareness of what they are and what you are going to do about them is a must. As the tune goes: “A toothless grinned swamp thing, Is lurking, come get you. Is lusting for your skin, Its hunger is climbing. A willow wisp, a rum soaked ritual, Ravenous its cold stare is habitual”.

Tune of the Day is a new divinatory series here on my blog where I hare some musical vibes. Music , is a very powerful tool with numerous messages to be gleaned from a tune, whether it’s got vocals on it or it’s purely instrumentals. It also has massive healing benefits too.

Whether you have an ear for music or are simply looking for divination of a different medium altogether, music most certainly moves us and offers guidance. And just like with tarot, music will have different meanings to different readers or in this case listeners. With each Tune of the Day I provide a general overview of some of the messages I’ve got from the track, but of course you may listen to it and get different signs or symbols. Enjoy!
