Tune of the Day for Saturday 22 February 2020: Mister Magic by Grover Washington Jr.

Magick touches people’s lives in many ways. Recognising the magick of Grover Washington Jr. and his band on Mister Magic, the tune has been sampled by numerous artists on their own tracks throughout the years since it was originally released in 1975. Whether your entry to Mister Magic was via a sample or not, kick back, relax and enjoy the unadulterated version of the late saxophonist and his band as their magick unfurls across this 9 minute-long track. Once you’re done listening and appreciating the magick of another, close your eyes and become acquainted with the magick within you as there may be a tune or more or some other creative endeavour that your inner being wants to apply their magick to.

Tune of the Day is a new divinatory series here on my blog where I hare some musical vibes. Music , is a very powerful tool with numerous messages to be gleaned from a tune, whether it’s got vocals on it or it’s purely instrumentals. It also has massive healing benefits too.

Whether you have an ear for music or are simply looking for divination of a different medium altogether, music most certainly moves us and offers guidance. And just like with tarot, music will have different meanings to different readers or in this case listeners. With each Tune of the Day I provide a general overview of some of the messages I’ve got from the track, but of course you may listen to it and get different signs or symbols. Enjoy!
