Tune of the Day for Saturday 1 February 2020: Keep on Keeping On by Curtis Mayfield

As you start to create change in your life, the energies that you are attempting to transform hit back with full-on attitude. That is not an indication that you aren’t making progress or for you to slip back in to its destructive ways. On the contrary, just Keep on Keeping On as Curtis Mayfield advises on today’s tune of the day. “We who are young, should now take a stand, Don’t run from the burdens of women and men,
Continue to give, continue to live, For what you know is right, Most of your life can be out of sight, Withdraw from the darkness and look to the light, Where everyone’s free”. And if you slip, don’t beat yourself up about it just get back to where you need to be and keep on keeping on: “Many think that we have blown it, But they too will soon admit, That there’s still a lot of love among us, And there’s still a lot of faith and warmth and trust, When we keep on keeping on.”

Tune of the Day is a new divinatory series here on my blog where I hare some musical vibes. Music is a very powerful tool with numerous messages to be gleaned from a tune, whether it’s got vocals on it or it’s purely instrumentals. It also has massive healing benefits too.

Whether you have an ear for music or are simply looking for divination of a different medium altogether, music most certainly moves us and offers guidance. And just like with tarot, music will have different meanings to different readers or in this case listeners. With each Tune of the Day I provide a general overview of some of the messages I’ve got from the track, but of course you may listen to it and get different signs or symbols. Enjoy!
