Tune of the Day for Tuesday 21 January 2020: Be Myself by Tom Walker

With Tuesday associated with the planet Mars and personal power, Tom Walker’s Be Myself is a fitting tune of the day with a strong message to just be you and to know that nobody outside of you has a right to change you. If someone is attempting to push their ideas, ideals, thoughts and beliefs about you and your creative endeavours and how your life should be, assert yourself, smile at them and tell them where to go stick it in the most graceful and courteous way possible. As the tune goes: “No, you can’t flip a flipbook, ‘Cause this isn’t like the trigger, I won’t change just ’cause you can’t figure me out, Never doubt what I have to play, If the world’s not ready they’ll just have to wait, Don’t put me on no pedestal, Tell me I’m incredible, Ask me to change and make my lines more legible, So learn to love what your listenin’ to, ‘Cause my music is my music, this is what I do…I won’t strike a pose, Or sell my soul to break the mold, I’ll just be myself, ‘Cause I ain’t nobody else, no, no”.

Tune of the Day is a new divinatory series here on my blog where I share some musical vibes. Music is a very powerful tool with numerous messages to be gleaned from a tune, whether it’s got vocals on it or it’s purely instrumentals. It also has massive healing benefits too.

Whether you have an ear for music or are simply looking for divination of a different medium altogether, music most certainly moves us and offers guidance. And just like with tarot, music will have different meanings to different readers or in this case listeners. With each Tune of the Day I provide a general overview of some of the messages I’ve got from the track, but of course you may listen to it and get different signs or symbols. Enjoy!
